BLOCK SIXTY-FIVE (65) OF THE JET'_ CHAISON SECOI\TD
ADDITION TO TIE CITY OF BEATTMONT.
17IHEREAS, a petition duly signed by R. L.
Brown owner of. Lot No. 13, C. 0. McNease, owner
of Lot No. 12, W. J. Croswell, owner of Lot 11,
D. Tantillo, owner of Lot 10, J. T. Morriss,
owner Lot 9, Mrs. Verda B. Tolle, owner of Lot 8,
Frank Wasson, owner of Lot 7, M. F. Harper,
owner of Lot 6, P. I4. Garrison, owner of Lot 5,
J. Rieder, owner of Lot 4, L. N. Robichaux,
owner of Lot 3, Mrs. R. E. Benham (R. G. Babbs'
Estate), owner of Lot 2, and N. A. Frost, owner
of Lot 1 all in Block 15 of the Arlington
Addition to the City of Beaumont, and Jef
Chaison Townsite Company, owner of Lots 11 to 14,
R. L. Stuart, owner of Lots 2 to 6, and Pers.
Ella Arnett Chaison, owner of Lots 7 to 10, all
in Block 65 of the Jef Chaison Second Addition
to the City of Beaumont, being the owners of all
the property located in Block 15 of the Arlington
Addition and Block 65 of the Jef Chaison Second
Addition abutting on said alley, has been presented
to the City Commission of the City of Beaumont,
requesting that the said alley be vacated and
closed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY
COIVTMISSION OF THE CITY OF BEAW.ONT:
That the alley located between Block 15 of the
Arlington Addition to the City of Bemmont and Block
65 of the Jef Chaison Second Addition to the City of
Beaumont be, and the same is hereby authorized to be
vacated and closed and that the title to such alley shall
revert to and become the -property of the respective owners
of the land in said blocks bordering on said alley, as
provided by law; provided, however, that the closing
of this alley shall in no way affect the rights of the

City as to placing and maintaining therein any sewer
or water lines, or telephone, telegraph, or electric
lines, wires, poles or cables, or any other service
or utility of the City, or the right to grant franchises
to persons or corporations to place and maintain therein
any such sewer or water lines, or telephone, telegraph
or electrical lines, wires, poles or cables, or any
other service or utility of the City, all of which
rights are hereby reserved. ,/
