AUTHORIZING THE VACATING AND CLOSING
OF THE ALLEY LOCATED IN BLOCK ELEVEN (11)
OF THE JEF CHAISON ADDITION TO THE CITY OF
BEAUM ON T.
WHEREAS, a petition duly signed by Jef
Chaison Townsite Company, owner of Lots 1 to 10,
and Lot 20; Robert Al. Childs, owner -of dots 11,
12 and 13; Joe Blazek, owner of Lot 14; J. H.
Young, owner of Lot 16, Joseph Vavra, owner of
Lots 17 and 18; H. J. McClanahan, owner of
Lot 19; 0. C. Bradford, owner of Lot 15, and
F. A. Boudreau, owner of Lot 21, owners of all
the property located in Block 11 of the Jef
Chaison_ Addition to the City of Beaumont
abutting on said alley, has been presented
to the City Commission of the City of Beaumont,
requesting that the said alley be vacated and
closed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That the alley located in Block Eleven (11)
of the Jef Chaison Addition to the City of Beaumont
be, and the same is hereby authorized to be vacated and
closed and that the title to such alley shall revert to
and become the property of the respective owners of the
land in said block bordering on said alley, as provided
by law; provided, however, that the closing of this alley
shall in no way affect the rights of the City as to
placing and maintaining therein any sewer or water lines,
or telephone, telegraph, or electric lines, wires, poles
or cables, or any other service or utility of the City,
or the right to grant franchises to persons or corporations
to place and maintain therein any such sewer or water lines,

or.telephone, telegraph, or electric lines, wires, poles,
or cables, or any other servicejtztility of the City, all
of which rights are hereby reserved.
