TORY TO THE CITY OF BEA-[MONT, JEFFERSON COUNTY,
TEXAS, FOR MUNICIPAL PURPOSES ONLY AND EXTENDING
THE BOUNDARY LIMITS OF SAID CITY SO AS TO IN-
CLUDE SAID HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED PROPERTY r`uITHIN
SAID CITY LD%F1ITS, AND GRANTING TO ALL THE INHABITANTS
AND PROPERTY OWNERS THEREOF ALL OF THE RIGHTS AND
PRIVILEGES OF OTHER CITIZENS AND BINDING SAID
INHABITANTS AND PROPERTY 0'a'PNERS BY ALL OF THE ACTS,
ORDINANCES, RESOLUTIONS AND REGULATIONS OF SAID
CITY®
Whereas, a petition has been signed by the owner
(there being no inhabitants) of the following described
territory adjoining the City of Beaumont and presented to
the City Commission, desiring and requesting the annexation
of said territory to said city for municipal purposes only,
to -wit:
Beginning at the southwest corner of Lot 4, Block
4 of the Junior College Addition to the City of
Beaumont, Texas, said point being on the south
City Limits lire and the east line of the Gulf
States Utilities Company right-of-way; thence
west along the said south City Limits line to
the west line of the Gulf States Utilities Com-
pany right-of-way or the southeast corner of Joe
Villiva tract, said point also being the north-
east corner of Lot 1, Block 1, of the Campus Ad-
dition; thence continuing west along the said_
south City Limits line or the south line of the
Joe Villiva tract or the north lire of the Campus
Addition three hundred four and nine -tenths
(304e9) feet, more or less, to its intersection
with the west line of Kenneth Avenue; thence
south along the said west line of Kenneth Avenue
three hundred thirty-three and eight -tenths
(333®8) feet, more or less, to its intersection
with the south line of Block 2 of the Campus Ad-
dition produced westward; thence east along the
said south line of Block 2 of the Campus Addition
and said south line produced westward six hundred
ninety-three (693) feet, more or less, to its in-
tersection with the west line of the Gulf States
Utilities Company right-of-way; thence continu-
ing east along the said south line of Block 2 of
the Campus Addition produced eastward to the east
line of the Gulf States Utilities Company right-
of-way; thence in a northwesterly direction along
the said east line of the Gulf States Utilities
Company right-of-way to the place of beginning, and
Whereas, said petition has attached to it an
affidavit to the effect that the signer of said petition is
the owner of all of said property,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE
CITY ConTMISSION OF THE CITY OF BEAUVIONT.
Beginning at the southivest corner of Lot 4, Bloch
4 of the Junior College Addition to the City of
Beaumont, Texas, said point being on the south
City Limits line and the east lire of the Gulf
States Utilities Company right-of-way; thence
west along the said south City Limits line to
the west line of the Gulf States Utilities Com-
pany right-of-way or the southeast corner of Joe
Villiva tract, said point also being the north-
east corner of Lot 1, Block 1, of the Campus Ad-
dition; thence continuing west along the said
south City Limits line or the south line of the
Joe Villiva tract or the north line of the Campus
Addition three hundred four and nine -tenths
(304.9) feet, more or less, to its intersection
with the west line of Kenneth Avenue; thence
south along the said west line of Kenneth Avenue
three hundred thirty-three and eight -tenths
(333.8) feet, more or less, to its intersection
with the south line of Block 2 of the Campus Ad-
dit.on produced westward; thence east along the
said south line of Block 2 of the Campus Addition
and said south line produced westward six hundred
ninety-three (693) feet, more or less, to its in-
tersection with the west lire of the C;�u1f States
Utilities Company right-of-way; thence continu-
ing east along the said south line of Block 2 of
the Campus Addition produced eastward to the east
line of the Gulf States Utilities Company right -
of -tray; thence in a northwesterly direction along
the said east line of the Gulf States Utilities
Company right-of-way to the place of beginning,
be, and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Beaumont,
Jefferson County, Texas, for municipal purposes only, and
that the boundary limits of the City of Beaumont be, and
the same hereby are extended to include the above described
territory within the city limits of the City of Beaumont,
and the same shall hereafter be included within the terri-
torial limits of said City, and the inhabitants and owners
thereof shall hereafter be entitled to all rights and priv-
ileges of other citizens of the City of Beaumont and they
shall be bound by the acts, ordinances, resolutions and reg-
ulations of said City.

We, the undersigned, citizens of the State of
Texas, property owners and qualified voters of the here-
inafter described territory, state that said territory
lies adjacent to and adjoining the City of Beaumont. We
further represent that jive desire the annexation of said
territory to the City of Beaumont .for municipal
