TO THE CITY OF.BEAUMONT, JEFFERSOiN COUNTY, TEXAS,
AND EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY LIMITS OF SAID CITY SO
AS TO INCLUDE SAID HEREINAFTER.DESCRIBED PROPERTY
WITHIN SAID CITY LIMITS, AND GRANTING TO ALL THE
IPHABITANTS OF SAID PROPERTY ALL OF THE RIGHTS AND
PRIVILEGES OF OTHER CITIZEidS AND BINDING SAID IN-
HABITANTS BY ALL OF THE ACTS, ORDINANCES, RESOLU-
T.IOES AND REGULATIONS OF SAID CITY.
WHEREAS., a petition has been signed by a majority
of property owners who are citizens of the State of Texas
and inhabitants of the following described territory, to -
wit:
BEGINNIivG at a point on the east line of Eleventh
Street and seventy-six and eight -tenths (76.8) feet
north of the north line of Evalon Street as now es-
tablished in the City of Beaumont, said point being
the southwest corner of the Idylwood Estates Addi-
tion to the City of Beaumont; thence north along
the said east line of Eleventh Street one thousand
twenty-eight and two-tenths (1028.2) feet to a point
twenty-five (25) feet north of the north line of
Beech Avenue as , nova established in the City of Beau-
mont; thence west along a line parallel with and
twenty-five (25) feet distant from the said north
line of Beech Avenue produced westward one hundred
twenty (120) feet to the west line of Eleventh
Street; thence south along the said west line of
Eleventh Street one thousand twenty-eight and two-
tenths (1028.2) feet, more or less, to its inter-
section with the north line of the present City
Limits, said line being the south line of the AA.
Williams League; thence east with the said north
line of the present City Limits or the south line
of the A. Williams League _ one hundred twenty (120 )
feet to the place of beginning#
adjoining the City of Beaumont, and presented to the City
Commission, desiring and requesting the annexation of said
territory to said City; and,
WHEREAS, said petition has attached to it the af-
fidavit of three of said applicants to the effect that said
petition is signed by a majority of the qualified voters
within and owning such property,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That the following described property, to -wit
BEGIi�NING at a point on the east line of Eleventh
Street and seventy-six and eight -tenths (76.8) feet
north of the north line of Evalon Street as now es-
tablished in the City of Beaumont, said point being
the southwest corner of the Idylwood Estates Addi-
tion to the City of Beaumont; thence north along
the said east line of Eleventh Street one thousand
twenty-eight and two-tenths (1028.2) feet to a point
twenty-five (25) ,feet north of the north line of
Beech Avenue as now established in the City of Beku-
mont; then - west along a line parallel with and

line of Beech Avenue produced westward one hundred
twenty -(120) feet to the west line of Eleventh
Street; thence south along the said west line of
Eleventh Street one thousand twenty-eight and two-
tenths (1028.2) feet, more or less, to its inter-
section with the north line of the present City
Limits, said line being the south line of the Ao
V!illiams League; thence east with the said north
line of the present City Limits or the south line
of the A. Williams League one hundred twenty (120)
feet to the place of beginning, -
beg and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Beaumont,
Jefferson County, Texas, and that the boundary limits of the
City of Beaumont be, and the same are hereby extended to in-
clude the above described territory within the city limits
of the City of Beatunont, and the same shall hereaft-er be in-
cluded within the territorial limits of said City' and the
inhabitants thereof shall hereafter be entitled to all rights
and privileges
of other
citizens
of the City
of Beaumont
and
they shall be
bound by
the acts,
ordinances,
resolutions
and
regulations of said City.
PASSED by an affirmative vote of all members of
