HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 34-A-2i� -1907 Ordinance No. 47, An Ordinance prohibiting certain vehicles .from standing on certain streets in the City of Beaumont end prescribing a penalty therefor: Be it ordained by the City Council of Bealunont,Texas: Section. -1- That it shall by unlawful for any vehicle used for the conveyance of passengers, for hire, or any wagon or vehicle used for hauling freight or baggage, or any wagons or vehicles of lijcha,racter, to *remain standing on any part of the -following streets in the City of Bpilaiu�ont, except as hereinafter provided, to -wit: On any part of Crocket Street between Ilain and Orleans Streets; or any part of pearl Street between Bonham and F Streets, and on any part of Orleans Street between Crocket d i�Strects, in said City of Bea iriont. Section -2- That the provisions hereof shall not apply to any delivery wagon owned and used by any merchant exclusively ih\trans- porting and delivering ,roods, wares and merchandise to and from his store house located within said territory; provided only a reason- able time shall be allowed said wagons to load and unload their freight; nor to buggies owned by private citizens and not used for, hire; nor to carriages and busses in tall i.ng passengers to and frora any portion of said territory; provided, they shall not remain with- in that territory for a longer period than twenty rninutes;1 provided that carriages and other vehicles used exclusively for conveying passengers shall have the right, to stand in any part of said territory between the hours of.7 P. M. and 7 A. M. r• Section -3- That any one violating the provisions hereof shall upon conviction lie fined not more than One Hundred Dollars.
