ING, CONSTRUCTIIT AND MAINTAINING GAS AND OIL MAINS, LA7RRALS AND
CONNECTIONS, AND TO CONNECT WITH MANUFACTORIES OF ALL SORTS AND
ALL BUSINESS HOUSES AND PRIVATE PROPERTY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT-.
SECTION FIRST.
That the City df Beaumont does hereby grant to V. WIESS, W.

ciations or persons and corporations as may hereafter become as-

soclated with them, or to such company as they may organize for tbke
purpose of supplying gas or oil to the City of Beaumont, the right
to lay, construct and maintain pipes of any description found nee-
essary for the purpose of conveying rte. gas or oil from any gas
or oil wells that they may see proper', to the City of Beaumont, to
,be used for any and all purpose to which gas.and oil can be applied
or. used .
SECTION SECOND.
It is' further ordained that the. said V. MSS, W. S. DAVIDSON,
W. P. H. MCFADDIN, R. A. GREF.R, HAL W. GREER, W. W, -KM AD E. A.

It is further ordained that the. said V. WIESS, W. S. DAVIDSON,
W. P. H. MCFADDIN , R. A. GREER, HAL W. GREER, W. W. • ,KYLE AM E. A.
PLETCHER, or theira signs, shall have the right to use any and

all of the streets and alleys and public grounds of the City of
Beaumont within the present city limits and all additions that
may be hereafter AW taken in the city limits for the purpose of
laying pipes for the conduct of gas and oil for the full period of Ij
Fifty ears on the terms and conditions herein

SECTION THIRD.
Be it fust hs r ordained that the said V. WIESS, W. S. DAVIDSON,
W. P. H. MCFADDIN, R , .A . GREER, HAL W. GREER, W. W. KYLE,,,AM H. A.
MTMR, or their assigns, shall have the right at any time to
connect with any pipes that they shall have laid into any factorig
business places of all description and of whatever kind or private
houses that they may see proper, for the purpose of furnishing gas
or oil for any purpose it may be used and that they shall have the
right to charge a reasonable sum therefor.
SECTION FOURTH,
Be it .further ordained that all pipes of any kind and every
description laid shall be under the direction and supervision of
the Chairmand of the Street and Bridge Committee and that said
pipes shall be baid in all -instances ao as to preserve street
grades according tv the auoritis3 of -the -City - --._
STICTION FIFTH.
That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage.
