AUTHORIZING THE VACATING AND CLOSING OF THE ALLEY LOCATED
IN BLOCK NUMBER 4 OF THE DRIVING PARK ADDITION TO THE CITY OF
BEAUMONT.
WHEREAS, a petition duly signed by J. A. Kimbrough, Wm. B.
Fox, Jr., Floyd Nicholson, Mrs. I. Rollins, N. S. Gimni, Sr.,
C. !iy. Shannon_, R. C. Davant, Mrs. Kinder, Frank Williams, Mrs.
R. L. Reagan, Mrs. J. C. Childress, Eastview Corporation, By
W. H. Buescher, President, 0. P. Garrett, Beaumont Fair Assfn.
By E. Conway Broun, Turnbow Lumber Company, By D. M. Caffall,
and P. B. Petitpas, owners of all the property located in
Block Number 4 of the Driving Park Addition to the City of
Beaumont, requesting that the said alley be vacated and closed.
NOW, THE-REFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COI111MISSION OF
THE CITY OF BEAU1 0NTt
That the alley located in Block Number 4 of'the Driving
Park Addition to the City of Beaumont, be, and the same is
hereby authorized to be vacated and closed, and that the title
to such alley shall revert to and become the property of the
respective owners of the land in said block bordering on said
alley, as provided by law; providing, however, that the closing
of this alley shall in no way affect the rights of the City as
to placing and maintaining therein of any sewer or water lines,
t
or telephone, telegraph, or electric lines, wires, poles or
cables, or any other service or utility of the City, or the
right to grant franchises to persons or corporations to place
and maintain therein_ any such sewer or water lines, or tele-
phone, telegraph, or electric lines, wires, poles or cables,
or any other service or utility of the City, all of which
rights are hereby reserved. _
