This 3rd day of December, 1907. RASpQctfull y submitted, 'Ordinance Committee. Gentlemen of the City Council: - On account of the sign ordinance having been dis- cussed at such great length and amended so often, I lost sight of the fact that the ordinance as amended and passed at the last meeting of this Council, permits persons, firms or corporations to hang only illuminated sign -boards or signs, thereby preventing those who do not care to put up this kirld of a sign from having any at all. Had this particular part, of the ordinance been called to rely attention, before it Tras passed, it would not have met with my approval. I am of the opinion that every one should have the right to hang signs, provided their hang them and maintain them according to the ordinances of this City and approval of the street and bridge Committee. I therefore submit the attached ordinance for your approval, and passage. "1yo_ .
