An ordinance regulating public balls and dances in the city of
- Beaumont.
Be it ordained by the City Council of the city of Beai)-mont:
Section 1A' No person or persons shall give a public ball or have
a oublic' dance upon premises owned or leased by them, or upon prerai—

of Beaumont; and no person or persons shall permit a public ball to
be given, or public dancing indulged in upon premises ovined or leased
by thel_i, or upon trami.ses in any manner under their control or
management within the city of Beaumont i -unless they shall have first
obtained front th-e Mayor of said city a permit to give such ball or
have such dancing, and shall also have filed such permit with the
Llarshall or Deputy Marshall of said city at least six hours before
the eo7iti:encenlent of such ball or dancing; and every such permit shall
be for only one such ball or dancing, and 'shall specify the time
and place of having the same. 1J
Section 2. Any person or persons violating any of the-orovisions,,.
of this ord-inance shall be fined in any sign not less than ten dollar's

Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force
from and after its passage and publication.
