Beaumont. -
Your petitioner, the London Oil & Pipe Line
Company, respectfully asks the passage of the ordinance hereto
attached, marked"exibit '"A", and which is made.a part hereof.

EXIBIT "A".
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, of -the City of
eaumont, Texas,-
RST,- That the city of Beaumont does hereby grant to the
London Oil & Pipe Line Co., a corporation chartered—unddr'the
laws of the state of Texas, with power to convey and assign
the same to its successors and assigns, for the period of fift
years the franchise and rights of way, privileges and easement
over Rail road Avenue to where same crosses the rail roads tracY�
of the Gulf, Beaumont & Kansas City Rail road Company, and across
fall streets along the said Gulf Beaumont & Kansas City Rail roa
Company froin'said point on Rail road Avenue to the switching
lyards of the said Gulf Bea-gmont & Kansas City Rail road Company
on the West side of the ci y of Beaumont, and the right to lay
constiuct and maintain..plpes of any size_and description
found necessary for the purpose of conveying oil or gas from
any oil'or-gas well for market as they may see proper to
through the said pipe line; the same to be used for any and al
purposes to which gas.and oil can.be-used or applied.
SECOND,- It is further ordered an4_ata&94d that the said
London Oil & Pipe Line Company, its successors and assigns,
shall have the right to use such franchise for the purpose of
laying pipes for the conveyance of gas and oil for the full
period of fifty years, with the right of removal at the end of
that time. --
THIRD.- It is further ordered that all pipes of
any kind and every description laid shall be done under the
direction and supervision of the Chairman of the Street and
Bridge Committee, and that said ;pip'es.s4all be laid in all
instances so as to preserve street grades according to the
Ordinanc e ' of-° the City of . Beaumont.

FOURTH,- It is further ordered that this Ordinance take effect
and be in force from and after its passage.
