Be it ordained by the City Council of. the City of Beaumont, Texas; Sec.1: That whereas, the City of Beaimnont by anrj. througii its City Council by an ordi-,lance duly passed on the 17th day of Septemb,­r,A.D. 1900, and an amended ordinance duly passed on the 26th day of October, A.D.1900,a-ftthorized the issuance of $115,000.00 City of Beaumont Water works,Drainage and Paving System Bonds, said Bonds being numbered from one to one hundred and fifteen inclusive, and being of denomination of One Thousand Dollars each, and -bearing date Aug. lst,1900, and payable in Forty years, from their date with the ri ;h'. reserved to the City to redeem the same at any time after twenty years from their date and bear- ing five per cent, interebt payable semt.-annually,the proceeds from the sale of said Bonds t.o be used for the purpose of extending the water- works; system the drainage system and the paving system of said City; which said bonds were authorized to be isoued by the said City Council by the property tax paying voters of the City of Beaumont, in an election helf on the 11th day of SeptemboTA.D.1900.
