Company, a corporation -exi.si ting under and by virtue of the laviis
of the State of Texas, and with.franchises and easements the
City' of Beaumont, 'be and the ' same_- is hereby fully authorize dnd
a wered to sell, alienate„ transfer and convey all and singular
to 1e �eYO and leasehold rights 'and the franchises, easements, r ght s,
powers and privileges heretofore at any time given and granted to
it by the City of Beaumont, or any dart -of th,:;- same, to whomsoever,
and upon sucht-4riis'and' oonditi,ons as itmay+"see -proper
Section II. This ordinance shall' be in force and take ef-
fect from and after its passage.

To the Honcrable City Council of the City of Beaumont;-
Application is hereby made £o you by" the- Beaumont - Ice -
Light & Refrig.,erating Company for the passage of an ordinance
authorizing the benefits of former franchises granted to this com-
pang to extend and inure to the benefit of any assignee or vendee
of this company, and a form of an ordinance is herewith submitted
to accomplish the end in view, and you are respectfully requested
to adopt and pass said ordinance, or one of similar purport.
The necessity for. `such ordinance atimes out of . the Pact
thathe former franchises aregranted to the Beaumont Ice, Light
& Refrigerating Company personalty, and while it is thought that
such franchises would under the original 'terms be transf. erablt ,
