Providing for the removal of dead animals from ' the city' limits,•and pre-
scribing a penalty for failure to remove the same'-,.
Be It Ordained By The City Council of the City of Beaumont:

Sec' 1.
That it shall hereafter be unlawful for the owner,o-1- person in control of
anf.animal.at the time of its death to allow the carcass of such animal
to.remain in or upon any street,alley,or other public or private place
fo•r' a to nger time than /q,, hoursx after its death,and any driver or
or other person using or controlling such animal shall for the purpose of
-carrying`out'the intentions of this ordinance,be considered as the owner
'thereof.
See.2. It shall hereafter be.the duty of any rail road company or street
-rail way company,or any person,firm oi- corporation who may kill,maim
or wound,any animal *ithin the city limits,to remove the same within
`)L hours..aft.er such, killing,maiming or wounding, whether such animal -
was under the supervision and control of such person firm or corporation
at the time or not,unless the owner thereof shall within said time take
charge of such animal and remove the same.
Sec 3. Any person,firm or corporation who shall violate any prolrision
of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon con-
.viction be punsihed by a fine no+. exceeding one hundred dollars. `
