AN ORDINANCE
AUTHORIZING THE VACATING AND CLOSING OF THE ALLEY
LOCATED IN BLOCK NUMBER TVJENTY,;-�FIVE (25) OF THE BLANCHETTE SECOND
ADDITION TO THE CITY OF BEAUMONT .
WHEREAS) a petition duly signed by A. L. Carter
Lumber Company, by its Secretary -Treasurer & General Manager,
C. E.,Locke, Mrs. W. D. -Boggs Thiac,'W. H. Wright, and
Joseph A. Weat, owners of all the proper, to ated in Block
Number twenty-five (25) of the Blanchet b tion to the
City of Beaumont, abutting on said alley, has been presented
to the City Commission of the City of Beaumont, requesting
that the said alley be vacated and closed,
NOW THEREFORE;' BE IT ORDAINED BY THE ,CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT :
That the alle'yy, located in Block Number Twenty-five
Second
(25) of the Blanchette/Addition to the City of Beaumont, be,
and the same is, hereby authorized to be vacated and closed,
and that the title to such alley shall revert to and become
the property of the respective'owners of the land in'said
block bordering on said -alley, as provided by law; provided,
however, that the closing of this alley shall in no way affect the
rights of the City as to placing and maintaining therein of
any sewer or -water lines, or.telephone, telegraph, or electric
lines, wires, poles, or cables, or any other service or utility
of the City, or the right. to grant franchises to persons or
corporations to place and maintain therein any such sewer or
water lines, or telephone, telegraph, or electric_lines, wires,
poles, or cables, or .any,other service or utility of the City,
all of which rights are hereby reserved.

and that such alley become the absolute property of the owners of the
land in said block adjacent and abutting on such alley, it being
understood, however, that the Closing of this allej shall in no way

of any sewer or water lines, or telephone, telegraph, or electric
lines, wires, poles, or Cables or any other service or utility of the
City, or the right of the City to grant franchises to persons or cor-
