HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 46-KI f-= AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE DIRECTING THE TAX ASSESSOR AND COLLECTOR TO ACCEPT TIE AMOUNT OF ANY TAX THAT MAY HAVE BECOME DELINQUENT BEFORE AUGUST 1, 1934, 'adITHOUT COLLECTING INTEREST THEREON, AND ISSUE REGULAR DELINQUENT RECEIPTS THEREFOR, PROVIDID SAID PAYMENT IS 1K.ADE BEFORE JULY 1, 1935, PROVIDING FOR THE PAY- MENT OF CERTAIN PENALTIES IF PAID BETWEEN APRIL 1, 1935, AND JULY 19 1935, AND DIRECTING THE TAX ASSESSOR AND COLLECTOR TO ISSUE Tia CERTIFICATE SHOIi ING PAYMENT OF TAXES FOR ANY YEARS FOR t,1IICH TAXES ARE PAID IN ACCORDANCE HEREWITH, AND REPEALING ALL ORDINF�.NCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN C 01FLICT HEREVdITH, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY C W,111ISSION OF THE CITY OF BEAUTSIONT : Section 1. That the City Tax Assessor and Collector is hereby direoted to accept the amount of ad valorem taxes assessed against any property that may have become delinquent before I ATust 1, 1934, without interest, if paid before July 1, 19352 together with penalties as follows: That if paid during the month of April, a penalty of three per cent (3%) shall be added., and if paid during the month of May, a penalty of four per cent (4%) shall be added, and if paid during the month of June, a penalty of five per cent (5%) shall be added, provided further that if said delinquent taxes be paid on or after July 1, 1935, the Tax Collector shall collect a penalty of eight per cent (8%) with interest at.the rate of six per cent (6f) per annum on and from July 1, 1935. Section 2. That the City Tax Assessor and Collector is hereby directed to issue the usual tax certificate showing delinquent taxes paid. in full for any year paid in accordance idth this ordinance.
