WHEREAS, bids were solicited for a one (1) year contract for medical supplies
for use by Beaumont EMS; and,
WHEREAS, Bound Tree Medical, of Dublin, Ohio, submitted a bid in the amount
of $97,111.47 for line item Categories 1, 2, 4, 5, 7 and 8 as shown on and listed in
Exhibit "A," attached hereto; and,
WHEREAS, Midwest Medical Supply Co., of Earth City, Missouri, submitted a bid
in the amount of $390.04 for line item Category 3 as shown on and listed in Exhibit "A,"
attached hereto; and,
WHEREAS, Southeastern Emergency Equipment, of Youngsville, North
Carolina, submitted a bid in the amount of $1,421.40 for line item Category 6 as shown
on and listed in Exhibit "A," attached hereto; and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bids as submitted for the
referenced categories by Bound Tree Medical, of Dublin, Ohio; Midwest Medical Supply
Co., of Earth City, Missouri; and, Southeastern Emergency Equipment, of Youngsville,
North Carolina, provides the best value to the City and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the statements and findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby,
in all things, approved and adopted; and,
That the bids submitted by Bound Tree Medical, of Dublin, Ohio for line item
Categories 1, 2, 4, 5, 7 and 8; Midwest Medical Supply Co., of Earth City, Missouri for
line item Category 3; and, Southeastern Emergency Equipment, of Youngsville, North
Carolina for line item Category 6 for a one (1) year contract for medical supplies for use
by Beaumont EMS in the amounts shown on and listed in Exhibit "A" be accepted by the
City of Beaumont.
THAT the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to execute contracts with
Bound Tree Medical, of Dublin, Ohio; Midwest Medical Supply Co., of Earth City,
Missouri; and, Southeastern Emergency Equipment, of Youngsville, North Carolina, for
the purposes described herein.
The meeting at which this resolution was approved was in all things conducted in
strict compliance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code, Chapter
551.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 3rd day of
July, 2018.
