BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to apply for and receive funding
for the City of Beaumont through the Texas State Library and Archives Commission for
the Rebuilding Texas Libraries Grant in an amount not to exceed $5,000.00 to update
preexisting materials on rebuilding homes, construction, codes, electrical wiring, and
other subjects that will be in demand by Beaumont residents and to present
programming related to the recovery efforts such as fixit workshops, mental health
workshops, and more.
The meeting at which this resolution was approved was in all things conducted in
strict compliance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code, Chapter
551.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 21st day of
November, 2017.
