BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT-
THAT the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to execute a First Amendment
to Memorandum of Understanding with the Texas Attorney General Office Internet
Crimes Against Children Task Force to provide training and technical assistance in
support of their Internet Crimes Against Children initiatives. The amendment is
substantially in the form attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and made a part hereof for all
purposes.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 11th day of
July, 2017.

FIRST AMENDMENT TO MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING
STATE OF TEXAS §
COUNTY OF TRAVIS §
OAG CONTRACT No. 1665397-01
THIS AMENDMENT is made and entered into by and between the Office of the Attorney General
of the State of Texas and Beaumont Police Department (collectively referred to as the "Parties").
INDUCEMENTS
Whereas, the Parties agreed to and executed that certain MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING,
identified as OAG Contract No. 1665397 (the "Original Agreement").
Whereas, the Parties desire to amend and/or modify, alter, excise, or add certain terms,
conditions, and/or mutual covenants of the Original Agreement as set forth hereinafter.
Whereas, the Parties intend to create a new contract consisting of the new amended and/or
modified, altered, excised, or added terms, conditions, and/or mutual covenants of this FIRST
AMENDMENT TO MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING and the remaining unchanged provisions of
the Original Agreement.
Now, THEREFORE, in consideration of the inducements, mutual. covenants, and conditions
herein contained, the parties agree as follows:
SECTION 1. AMENDING TERM OF ORIGINAL AGREEMENT
The Parties agree to amend the term of Original Agreement to expire on August 31, 2018.
SECTION 2. ENTIRE AGREEMENT
The entire agreement between the Parties consists of the new amended and/or modified,
altered, excised, or added terms, conditions, and/or mutual covenants of this FIRST AMENDMENT
To MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING and the remaining unchanged provisions of the Original
Agreement. No prior agreement or understanding, oral or otherwise, of the parties or their agents
will be valid or enforceable unless contained herein.
In Witness Thereof, the Parties Have Signed and Executed this Contract.
