WHEREAS, on July 26, 2016, the City Council of the City of Beaumont, Texas,
adopted Resolution No. 16-132 approving the award of a contract to BDS Constructors,
LLC d/b/a/ MK Constructors, of Vidor, Texas, in the amount of $254,463.00 for the
Sanitary Sewer Lift Station Rehabilitation -Folsom Road, Major Drive & San Anselmo
Street Projects; and,
WHEREAS, on March 17, 2017, the City Manager executed Change Order No.
1, in the amount of ($4,625.00), to furnish and install additional 2 -inch electrical conduit;
install a 4 -inch diameter PVC vent stack; and, install a bypass assembly at the
Anselmo Street lift station, thereby decreasing the total contract amount to $249,838.00;
and,
WHEREAS, the project has been inspected by Schaumburg & Polk, Inc. and
Water Utilities and found to be complete in accordance with the provisions and terms
set forth in the contract;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the statements and findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby,
in all things, approved and adopted; and,
THAT the Sanitary Sewer Lift Station Rehabilitation -Folsom Road, Major Drive &
San Anselmo Street Projects be and the same are hereby found to be complete in
accordance with the terms of the contract and are accepted; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the City Manager is hereby authorized to
make final payment in the amount of $12,491.90 to BDS Constructors, LLC d/b/a/ MK
Constructors, of Vidor, Texas.
