ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND ABANDONING
A TWENTY FOOT (20') BY THREE HUNDRED FOOT (300')
ALLEY EASEMENT, PROVIDING THAT A GENERAL UTILITY
EASEMENT IS RETAINED, IN THE CARTWRIGHT ADDITION
IN BEAUMONT, JEFFERSON COUNTY, TEXAS, AS DE-
SCRIBED HEREIN.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT that certain twenty foot (201) by three hundred foot (300') alley
easement described as follows:
BEING parallel to Cartwright: and Roberts Ave-
nues, measuring twenty feet (20') by three
hundred feet (300'), and being the only alley
within Block 54 of the Cartwright Addition to
the City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas,
as per map or plat of said Addition filed of
record in the Deed Records of Jefferson County,
Texas;
be and the same is hereby vacated and abandoned, and that title to such
property shall revert to and become the property of the persons enti-
tled thereto, as provided by law; providing, however, that the herein-
above described tract of land is expressly retained by The City of
Beaumont for general utility purposes only, it being the intent of
this ordinance to abandon said tract of laud as an alley but to retain
the said tract for general utility purposes only; title to such pro-
perty, other than the rights -retained by The City of Beaumont herein,
shall revert to and become the property of the persons entitled there-
to, as provided by law.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the
