WHEREAS, bids were solicited for an annual contract for the purchase of lime
slurry for use by the Streets and Drainage Division; and,
WHEREAS, LaHoist North America, Inc., of La Porte, Texas, submitted a bid in
the amount of $175 per ton for an estimated cost of $105,000; and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by LaHoist North
America, Inc., of La Porte, Texas, should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the statements and findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby,
in all things, approved and adopted; and,
THAT the bid submitted by LaHoist North America, Inc., of La Porte, Texas, for
an annual contract for the purchase of lime slurry for use by the Streets and Drainage
Division, in the amount of $175 per ton for an estimated cost of $105,000 be accepted
by the City of Beaumont; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the City Manager be and he is hereby
authorized to execute a contract with LaHoist North America, Inc., of La Porte, Texas,
for the purposes described herein.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 18th day of
October, 2016.
