WHEREAS, bids were solicited for a contract for furnishing all labor, materials,
equipment and supplies necessary for the construction of the new Beaumont Fire
Station No. 1 Project; and,
WHEREAS, McInnis Construction, Inc., of Silsbee, Texas, submitted a bid in the
amount of $7,409,783.00; and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by McInnis
Construction, Inc., of Silsbee, Texas, should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the statements and findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby,
in all things, approved and adopted; and,
THAT the bid submitted by McInnis Construction, Inc., of Silsbee, Texas, in the
amount of $7,409,783.00 for a contract for the construction of the new Beaumont Fire
Station No. 1 Project be accepted by the City of Beaumont; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the City Manager be and he is hereby
authorized to execute a contract with McInnis Construction, Inc., of Silsbee, Texas, for
the purposes described herein.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 27th day of
September, 2016.
