WHEREAS, on August 4, 2016, five (5) bids were received for the Washington
Boulevard Pavement and Drainage Improvement — Phase II (Corporate Drive to
Amarillo Street) Project; and,
WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of City of Beaumont Public
Works/Engineering Division that revisions to the Scope of Work be made to include
Executive Boulevard and Corporate Drive to the original design and the project be rebid
at a later date; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council finds it is not in the public interest to accept the bids
for the Washington Boulevard Pavement and Drainage Improvement — Phase II
(Corporate Drive to Amarillo Street) Project and that each should be rejected;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the statements and findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby,
in all things, approved and adopted; and,
THAT the City Council does hereby reject the bids for the Washington Boulevard
Pavement and Drainage Improvement — Phase II (Corporate Drive to Amarillo Street)
Project.
