The goal of this policy is to define the standard of care for any patient presenting with a
cerebrovascular incident.
Il. Protocol
A. Institute protocol "203.OIA" for all patients.
B. Position with patient's head slightly elevated.
C. Protect paralyzed parts from injury.
D. Suction as necessary.
E, Prepare for immediate transport.
