WHEREAS, bids were solicited for a contract to provide all labor, materials,
equipment and supplies for the Avenue A Asphalt Rehabilitation (from Elgie to US 69
Frontage) Project; and,
WHEREAS, LD Construction, of Beaumont, Texas, submitted a bid in the amount
of $642,783.50; and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by LD
Construction, of Beaumont, Texas, should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the statements and findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby,
in all things, approved and adopted; and,
THAT the bid submitted by LD Construction, of Beaumont, Texas, in the amount
of $642,783.50 for a contract to provide all labor, materials, equipment and supplies for
the Avenue A Asphalt Rehabilitation (from Elgie to US 69 Frontage) Project be accepted
by the City of Beaumont; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the City Manager be and he is hereby
authorized to execute a contract with LD Construction, of Beaumont, Texas, for the
purposes described herein.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 26th day of
