WHEREAS, bids were solicited for an annual contract for container and solid
waste collections; and,
WHEREAS, Progressive Waste Solutions, Inc., of Kountze, Texas, submitted a
bid in the amount of $84,133.80; and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Progressive
Waste Solutions, Inc. should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the statements and findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby,
in all things, approved and adopted; and,
THAT the bid submitted by Progressive Waste Solutions, Inc., of Kountze, Texas,
in the amount of $84,133.80 for container and solid waste collections at thirty-eight (38)
City facilities be accepted by the City of Beaumont; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the City Manager is authorized to execute a
contract with Progressive Waste Solutions, Inc., of Kountze, Texas, in the amount of
$84,133.80 for the purposes described herein.
