WHEREAS, on June 30, 2015, the City Council of the City of Beaumont, Texas,
adopted Resolution No. 15-118 approving the award of a contract to SR Tilley Builders,
Inc., of Vidor, Texas, in the amount of $3,450,445.00 for the Concrete Rehabilitation of
Various Locations Project; and,
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1, in the amount of $30,557.48, is necessary to
adjust the original contract amount due to the change of concrete mix, reinforcement
designs and Americans With Disabilities Act accessibility sidewalks and ramps, thereby
increasing the total contract amount to $3,481,002.48; and,
WHEREAS, the project has been inspected by the Engineering Division and
found to be complete in accordance with the provisions and terms set forth in the
contract;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the statements and findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby,
in all things, approved and adopted; and,
THAT the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to execute Change
Order No.1 for adjusting quantities as described above, thereby increasing the coptract
amount by $30,557.48 for a total contract amount of $3,481,002.48 for the Concrete
Rehabilitation of Various Locations Project; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the Concrete Rehabilitation of Various
Locations Project be and the same is hereby accepted; and,
BE IT ALSO RESOLVED THAT the City Manager is hereby authorized to make
final payment in the amount of $533,154.15 to SR Tilley Builders, Inc., of Vidor, Texas.
