WHEREAS, the lawsuit styled Krystle Bob vs. City of Beaumont and Officer
Joshua Donahoe; Civil Action No. 1:15-cv-264, was discussed in Executive Session
properly called and held Tuesday, April 19, 2016; and,
WHEREAS, the City Attorney is requesting authority to settle this lawsuit,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the statements and findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby,
in all things, approved and adopted; and,
THAT the City Attorney be, and he is hereby, authorized to settle the lawsuit
styled Krystle Bob vs. City of Beaumont and Officer Joshua Donahoe, Civil Action No.
1:15-cv-264, for the sum of Thirty Thousand and XX/100 Dollars ($30,000.00); and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the City Manager be and he is hereby
authorized to execute all documents related to settlement of the lawsuit.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 19th day of
April, 2016.
