WHEREAS, bids were solicited for a contract for the Avenue A Rehabilitation of
the Existing Sanitary Sewer and Water Lines Project to furnish all labor, materials,
equipment and supplies to replace the water and sewer lines on Avenue A from the
Cardinal Drive frontage road to Elgie Street, and,
WHEREAS, BDS Construction, LLC d/b/a MK Constructors, of Vidor, Texas,
submitted a bid in the amount of $864,693.00; and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by BDS
Construction, LLC d/b/a MK Constructors, of Vidor, Texas, should be accepted,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the statements and findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby,
in all things, approved and adopted; and,
THAT the bid submitted by BDS Construction, LLC d/b/a MK Constructors, of
Vidor, Texas, in the amount of $864,693.00 for a contract for the Avenue A
Rehabilitation of the Existing Sanitary Sewer and Water Lines Project to furnish all
labor, materials, equipment and supplies to replace the water and sewer lines on
Avenue A from the Cardinal Drive frontage road to Elgie Street be accepted by the City
of Beaumont; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the City Manager be and he is hereby
authorized to execute a contract with BDS Construction, LLC d/b/a MK Constructors, of
Vidor, Texas, for the purposes described herein.
