DESCRIPTION
M.A. "Merck" Merchant was born in Snyder, Oklahoma, and moved to Beaumont, Texas, where he lived
most of his life. He worked in the records management department at Gulf States Utilities.
This collection contains two small leather-bound books with handwritten numbers and notes. On the
cover of one book is stamped "Field Book 386" and on another book is stamped "Mining Transit Book
