This collection consists of one scrapbook compiled by
Elizabeth Simmons durinq her senior year at Beaumont Hiqh School,
1925. The blank book, entitled "The School Girls Memory Book", was
published by Barse and Hopkins, New York. Elizabeth Simmons filled
her book with the siqnatures of her friends and teachers, newspaper
clippinqs tellinq of society parties she attended, party souvenirs,
qraduation cards and announcements, and several photoqraphs of
people and places she knew. Elizabeth Simmons was well liked by
her peers, over forty of whom siqned her book. Elizabeth's
teachers, Miss Mac Williams, Lucille L., Mary Collins, Joseph
Hollmeister, and Mrs. Max Morrison, wrote qlowinq tributes to
this obviously favored student. Elizabeth later tauqht at the
Averill School here in Beaumont.
