DESCRIPTION
This collection consists of legal papers, business documents, newspapers, a grant proposal and
several photographs. Also included in this collection are important documents that show how
the Charlton -Pollard nursery school was so named. Material in this collection is dated between
1954 and 1996. This collection also includes photographs of the graduates from the Charlton
Pollard Nursery School for the years 1982, 1983, and 1985.
Alice Ramsey was very instrumental in getting the Carroll Street Nursery renamed to Charlton
Pollard Nursery. Mrs. Ramsey received numerous awards for many community and civic
projects.
