The Mable Winnie Shepherd Papers, 1912-1961
DESCRIPTION
Mable Winnie married Albert Shepherd September 23. 1913. Mable and Albert Shepherd had
three daughters, Mary Louise, Jane, and Marjorie. Albert Shepherd was heir to the family
cleaning business, Shepherd Laundries. Albert and his brothers inherited the business from their
father, Mr. W. T. Shepherd. The business grew to have branches in Houston, Beaumont, and
San Antonio.
The scrapbooks from which this collection came contained information relating to the Shepherd
family. Items in the collection include correspondence, newspaper clippings, awards, and
greeting cards.
