She served as an officer for the League of Women voters and as a member of the Beaumont Library Commission since 1965. Ms. Loomis was a retired Chemist for Mobil Oil. As a genealogist and historian, she published a history of her family. Water conservation appeared to be Louise Loomis' main interest, as this subject dominates the collection. This collection is organized by the following series: government publications, Beaumont League of Women voters records, Library Commission material, genealogical material.
