DESCRIPTION
The Valentine Wiess memorial book was presented to Mrs.
Ruth Wiess Branham of San Antonio, Texas, with appreciation of
the Beaumont Rotary Club, in memory of her father.
The volume contains two portrait photographs, one of V.
Wiess followed by Ruth Wiess Branham. A two-page inscription
within the volume signifies the city of Beaumont's appreciation
for Mr. V. Wiess, an honored and beloved citizen. He was
described as an inspiring individual that made priceless
contributions to the social and economic welfare of the
community. During the Beaumont Rotary Club year, 1917-1918,
Preston B. Doty, President, Ray S. Lighthall, Secretary, and
members of the club presented this memorial resolution.
Signatures of the club members during that year are included.
