WHEREAS, bids were received for a one (1) year contract for the placement of
hot mix asphaltic concrete (HMAC) pavement for repairs to large street sections in the
Street Rehabilitation Program; and,
WHEREAS; LD Construction,. Inc., of Beaumont, Texas, submitted a bid in the
estimated amount of $1,063,500 in the unit amounts as described. and shown in Exhibit
"A," attached hereto; and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion. that the bid submitted by LD
Construction, Inc., of Beaumont, Texas, should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the statements and findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby,
in all things, approved and adopted; and,
THAT the bid submitted by LD Construction, Inc., of Beaumont, Texas, for a one
.(1) year contract for the placement of hot mix asphaltic concrete (HMAC) pavement for
repairs to large street sections in'the Street Rehabilitation Program in the estimated
amount of $1,063,500 in the unit amounts as described and shown in Exhibit "A,"
.attached hereto, be accepted by the City of Beaumont; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the City Manager, be and he is hereby
authorized to execute a contract with LD Construction, Inc., of Beaumont, Texas, for the
purposes described herein.
