WHEREAS, the claim of Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas was discussed in
Executive Session properly called and held Tuesday, April 21, 2015; and,
WHEREAS, the City Attorney is requesting authority to settle this claim;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the statements and findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby, in
all things, approved and adopted; and,
THAT the City Attorney be, and he is hereby, authorized to settle the claim of Baptist
Hospitals of Southeast Texas for the sum of Thirty -Two Thousand Six Hundred Seven and
42/100 Dollars ($32,607.42); and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the City Manager be and he is hereby
authorized to execute all documents related to settlement of the claim.
