WHEREAS, bids were solicited for a contract for site clearing and grading at the
Beaumont Municipal Tennis Complex; and,
WHEREAS, Gary Whitman Materials, Inc., of Sour Lake, Texas, submitted a bid in
the amount of $71,794; and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Gary Whitman
Materials, Inc., of Sour Lake, Texas, in the amount of $71,794 should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the statements and findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby, in
all things, approved and adopted; and,
THAT the bid submitted by Gary Whitman Materials, Inc., of Sour Lake, Texas, in
the amount of $71,794 for site clearing and grading at the Beaumont Municipal Tennis
Complex be accepted by the City of Beaumont; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the City Manager be and he is hereby
authorized to execute a contract with Gary Whitman Materials, Inc., of Sour Lake, Texas,
for the purposes described herein.
