BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
WHEREAS, on December 20, 2011, City Council approved Resolution No. 11-359
authorizing the City Manager to approve the purchase and installation of Heating,
Ventilating and Air Conditioning(HVAC)automation controls from Automated Logic United
Environmental Services, of Beaumont, Texas, in the amount of $199,800 through the
Texas Multiple Award Schedule (TXMAS) contract for use in several City facilities; and,
WHEREAS, the vendor's TXMAS contract has expired and is no longer available;
and,
WHEREAS, Automated Logic United Environmental Services also offers its
products and services through the Choice Facility Partners purchasing cooperative
administered by the Harris County Department of Education; and,
WHEREAS, Council previously approved the City's participation in this purchasing
cooperative which offers contracts for products and services which meet all State
competitive bidding and procurement requirements;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED
BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the statements and findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby, in
all things, approved and adopted; and,
THAT the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to approve the purchase
and installation of Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning (HVAC) automation controls
from Automated Logic United Environmental Services,of Beaumont,Texas, in the amount
of$199,800 through the Choice Facility Partners purchasing cooperative for use in several
City facilities.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the City Manager be and he is hereby
authorized to execute a contract with Automated Logic United Environmental Services, of
Beaumont, Texas, for the purposes described herein.
