WHEREAS, bids were received to purchase equipment for conversion of the
digesters at the Water Reclamation Plant; and,
WHEREAS, the following contractors submitted bids in the amounts as shown:
VENDOR ITEM AMOUNT
Houston Service Industries Multistage centrifugal blowers $219,200
US Filter, Envirex Products dba Envirex, Inc. Coarse bubble aeration equipment $92,000
Allco, Inc. Stainless steel pipe $138,000
and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bids submitted as shown above
should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bids as shown above to purchase equipment for conversion of the digesters at
the Water Reclamation Plant be accepted by the City of Beaumont.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 8th day of
January, 2002.
