OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES BY INCREASING THE
NUMBER OF GRADE V DEPUTY CHIEF POSITIONS IN THE
BEAUMONT FIRE DEPARTMENT FROM THREE(3)TO FIVE
(5), INCREASING THE NUMBER OF GRADE III CAPTAIN
POSITIONS IN THE BEAUMONT FIRE DEPARTMENT FROM
FORTY-SIX(46)TO FORTY-SEVEN(47),DECREASING THE
NUMBER OF GRADE IV DISTRICT CHIEF POSITIONS IN
THE BEAUMONT FIRE DEPARTMENT FROM TWELVE (12)
TO ELEVEN (11) AND DECREASING THE NUMBER OF
GRADE II DRIVER/OPERATOR POSITIONS IN THE
BEAUMONT FIRE DEPARTMENT FROM SEVENTY-TWO
(72) TO SEVENTY (70); PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY
AND PROVIDING FOR REPEAL.
Section 1.
That Chapter 2, Article 2.03, Division 2, Section 2.03.074, of the Code of
Ordinances of the City of Beaumont be and the same is hereby amended to increase the
number of Grade V Deputy Chief positions in the Beaumont Fire Department from three
(3) to five (5), increase the number of Grade III Captain positions in the Beaumont Fire
Department from forty-six (46) to forty-seven (47), decrease the number of Grade IV
District Chief positions in the Beaumont Fire Department from twelve (12) to eleven (11)
and to decrease the number of Grade II Drive/Operator positions in the Beaumont Fire
Department from seventy-two (72)to seventy (70).
Section 2.
That if any section, subsection, sentence, clause or phrase of this ordinance, or the
application of same to a particular set of persons or circumstances, should for any reason
be held to be invalid, such invalidity shall not affect the remaining portions of this ordinance
and, to such end, the various portions and provisions of this ordinance are declared to be
severable.
Section 3.
All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith, including conflicting
portions of the City Budget, are repealed to the extent of the conflict only.
