HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 13-038RESOLUTION NO. 13 -038 WHEREAS, on June 26, 2012, the City Council of the City of Beaumont, Texas, passed Resolution No.12 -139 awarding a contract in the amount of $332,100 to Allco, Inc., of Beaumont, Texas, for the East Lucas Drainage Improvement Rehabilitation Project: and, WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1 in the amount of $1,991 was required for all cost associated with the items to resolve drainage conflict with the proposed sidewalk, thereby increasing the project amount to $334,091; and, WHEREAS, Change Order No. 2 in the amount of ($74.75) is required to adjust the quantities actually used during the performance of the project, thereby decreasing the contract amount to $334,016.25; and, WHEREAS, the project has been inspected and completed in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contract and should be accepted; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT: THAT the statements and findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby, in all things, approved and adopted; and, THAT the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to execute Change Order No. 2 to adjust quantities actually used during the performance of the project, thereby decreasing the contract amount by ($74.75) for a total contract amount of $334,016.25; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the East Lucas Drainage Improvement Rehabilitation Project be and the same is hereby accepted; and, BE IT ALSO RESOLVED THAT the City Manager is hereby authorized to make final payment in the amount of $34,115.66 to Allco, Inc.
