WHEREAS, bids were solicited for a contract for street, driveway, and sidewalk
repairs after utility cuts have been made by the Water Utilities Department; and,
WHEREAS, Bruce's General Construction, Inc., of Beaumont, Texas, submitted a
bid in the amount of$349,360.00; and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Bruce's General
Construction, Inc.,of Beaumont,Texas, in the amount of$349,360.00 should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the statements and findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby, in
all things,approved and adopted; and,
THAT the bid submitted by Bruce's General Construction, Inc.,of Beaumont,Texas,
in the amount of $349,360.00 for street, driveway, and sidewalk repairs after utility cuts
have been made by the Water Utilities Department be accepted by the City of Beaumont;
and,
THAT the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to execute a contract with
Bruce's General Construction, Inc., of Beaumont, Texas, for the purposes described
herein.
