WHEREAS, on March 20, 2012, the City Council of the City of Beaumont, Texas,
passed Resolution No. 12-055 awarding a contract in the amount of$4,391,500 to Brystar
Contracting, Inc., of Beaumont Texas, for the Wastewater Treatment Plant Holding Pond
Project and Dredging of Ponds 1 and 2 Project; and,
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1, in the amount of ($36,550), is required for
alternate materials related to the electrical components of the project, thereby decreasing
the contract amount to $4,354,950.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:

THAT the statements and findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby, in l
all things, approved and adopted; and,
THAT the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to execute Change Order
No. 1 for additional work described above, thereby decreasing the contract amount by
($36,550) for a total contract amount of$4,354,950.
