WHEREAS, bids were solicited for furnishing all materials, labor, equipment and
supplies to construct a Police substation and public restroom facility adjacent to the newly
constructed Amtrak station, and,
WHEREAS, Bruce's General Construction,of Beaumont,Texas, submitted a bid in
the amount of$289,000; and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Bruce's General
Construction, of Beaumont, Texas, should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the statements and findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby, in
all things, approved and adopted; and,
THAT the bid submitted by Bruce's General Construction, of Beaumont, Texas,for
furnishing all materials, labor, equipment and supplies to construct a Police substation and
public restroom facility adjacent to the newly construction Amtrak station in the amount of
$289,000 be accepted by the City of Beaumont; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the City Manager be and he is hereby
authorized to execute a contract with Bruce's General Construction, of Beaumont, Texas,
for the purposes described herein.
