WHEREAS, on June 29, 2010, the City Council of the City of Beaumont, Texas,
passed Resolution No. 10-174 awarding a contract in the amount of$3,844,851.18 to C.
F. Jordan Construction, L.L.C., for the Event Center Area Paving and Drainage
Improvements Project; and,
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1 in the amount of$156,279.43 was required for the
installation of newwater mains and appurtenances,thereby increasing the contract amount
to $4,001,130.61; and,
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 2 in the amount of $87,556.40 is required to add
item quantities to the contract, thereby increasing the contract amount to $4,088,687.01;
and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the statements and findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby, in
all things, approved and adopted; and,
THAT the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to execute Change Order
No. 2 in the amount of $87,556.40, thereby increasing the contract amount to
$4,088,687.01.
