HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 11-187 RESOLUTION NO. 11-187 WHEREAS, on March 8, 2011, the City Council of the City of Beaumont, Texas, passed Resolution No. 11-096 awarding a contract in the amount of $948,949.55 to Brystar Contracting, Inc.,of Beaumont,Texas,for the Cartwright/Corley Drainage Project to include drainage boxes, street pavement and water& sewer utility service lines; and, WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1 in the amount of$38,800 is required to furnish all labor, equipment, materials, and supervision associated with installing a new sanitary sewer line on Corley Street between 5th and 6th Streets on the north side of the road, thereby increasing the contract amount to $987,749.55. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT: THAT the statements and findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby, in all things, approved and adopted; and THAT the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to execute Change Order No. 1 for additional work described above, thereby increasing the contract amount by $38,800, for a total contract amount of$987,749.55.
