WHEREAS, bids were solicited for a three (3) month contract for the purchase of
Sodium Hydroxide for use by the Water Utilities Department; and,
WHEREAS, Altivia Corporation, of Houston, Texas, submitted a bid for an
estimated total expenditure of$128,000 in the unit amounts shown below:

Altivia, Inc. $512.00 $128,000.00
Houston, TX
and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Altivia Corporation
of Houston, Texas, should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the statements and findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby,
in all things, approved and adopted; and,
THAT the bid submitted by Altivia Corporation, Houston,Texas,for a three(3)month
contract for the purchase of Sodium Hydroxide in the unit prices shown above for an
estimated total expenditure of$128,000 be accepted by the City of Beaumont.
THAT the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to execute a contract with
Altivia, Inc. for the purposes described herein.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 28th day of June,
2011.
