WHEREAS, bids were received for the installation of a 26'x 36' structural concrete
elevated platform that will provide a foundation to support an emergency power generator
at the Police Department; and,
WHEREAS, Bruce's General Construction,of Beaumont,Texas, submitted a bid in
the amount of$135,000; and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Bruce's General
Construction, of Beaumont, Texas, should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the statements and findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby, in
all things, approved and adopted; and,
THAT the bid submitted by Bruce's General Construction, of Beaumont, Texas, for
the installation of a 26' x 36' structural concrete elevated platform that will provide a
foundation to support an emergency power generator at the Police Department, in the
amount of$135,000, be accepted by the City of Beaumont; and,
THAT the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to execute a contact with
Bruce's General Construction for the purposes described herein.
