WHEREAS, bids were solicited for a six (6) month contract for the purchase of
Aluminum Sulfate for use by the Water Utilities Department; and,
WHEREAS, GEO Specialty Chemical of Little Rock, Arkansas, submitted a bid in
the amount of$172.89 per unit for an estimated contract amount of$103,734.00; and
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by GEO Specialty
Chemical of Little Rock, Arkansas, should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the statements and findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby, in
all things, approved and adopted; and,
THAT the bid submitted by GEO Specialty Chemical of Little Rock, Arkansas, for
a six(6) month contract for the purchase of Aluminum Sulfate for use by the Water Utilities
Department in the unit amount of $172.89 for an estimated amount of $103,734.00, be
accepted by the City of Beaumont.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 11th day of
January, 2011.
